With a smaller distance between the 2 lenses are we loosing out on precision of the depth?

By reducing the distance between the two lenses, the close-range accuracy for which the device is primarily intended has been improved.

The optimal accuracy of the OAK-D-SR device is achieved when measuring depth in the range of 30 cm to 1 m.
